During my recent stay at Abali' Gran Sultanato, I appreciated the central location, which made exploring Palermo quite easy. However, the photos online set high expectations that the actual rooms didn't meet; they felt old and in need of repairs. Additionally, some issues like a bad smell in the building and a clogged shower added to my frustrations. Overall, it was a mixed experience that didn’t quite live up to its promise.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was spacious, but it was quite bare and not as charming as the photos suggested. The quirky decor was interesting, but the overall condition felt neglected, such as old sheets and no toiletries provided.
Service

I did have some communication challenges during check-in because I never met the host and had to coordinate access remotely. While Vito provided some local tips once I reached him, the delays were a bother.

The hotel’s location right in the heart of Palermo was a major highlight for me. With easy access to local markets and cafes, I loved being able to step out and experience the city’s lively atmosphere.

The breakfast arrangement with a local café was convenient and added a nice touch to my mornings. I enjoyed authentic local foods instead of typical hotel fare.
Facilities

Although the hotel offered some amenities like housekeeping and laundry service, the absence of basic facilities like coffee-making options and toiletries left me wanting more.

During my stay at Abali' Gran Sultanato, I loved the central location, which made it easy to explore Palermo. However, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel. The reality didn't match the appealing photos, and I encountered issues like a persistent sewer smell and troublesome bathroom facilities that detracted from my experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room was colorful and intended to be unique, but it felt more old and worn out than charming. The thin walls meant I could hear everything from the surrounding area, which made it hard to sleep.
Service
5.0
Vito’s hospitality was one of the few highlights. He provided helpful local recommendations and was great at communicating, although check-in was a bit tricky since I never met him in person.
Location
5.0
The hotel is right in the center of everything, which is a big plus for accessing local attractions. However, with that centrality comes quite a bit of noise from nearby bars and restaurants.
Dining
5.0
I appreciated the breakfast arrangement with a nearby café, it allowed me to enjoy local cuisine, which was much better than standard hotel fare.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were lacking overall. The air conditioning wasn't effective, and the general cleanliness left much to be desired. I found the amenities to be quite minimal compared to what I expected.

My stay at Abali' Gran Sultanato was a mix of highs and lows. The location was fantastic—right in the heart of Palermo, close to cafes and local markets. However, the room didn't match the charming photos I'd seen; it felt dated and not very well-maintained. I did appreciate the unique room design, but the overall experience left me wanting more.

Rooms

The room had some quirky designs but was overall quite basic and not well-maintained. I noticed some cleanliness issues and had a few inconveniences, like a clogged shower and a cockroach. However, the spaciousness was a nice touch.

Vito's hospitality was a bright spot, providing helpful recommendations and a friendly demeanor. But the check-in process was frustrating, requiring multiple calls to get assistance.
Location
10.0
The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring Palermo; I could easily walk to many attractions. Despite the condition of the building, being in the heart of the city was a definite plus.
Dining
7.0
I loved that breakfast was arranged at a nearby café, giving me a taste of local food. But I missed having a more varied dining option directly at the hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were limited, and I found the cleanliness efforts lacking. The tiny closet space and lack of basic amenities made the stay less comfortable.

I liked the central location right in the heart of Palermo. it made it super easy for me to explore the local attractions. However, I was quite disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel. The room didn’t resemble the photos, and some areas, like the bathroom, weren't well-maintained. It felt more like an old boarding house than a boutique hotel.
